It all started with one wish: watch the amazing, true story of Make-A-Wish's founding and how one community came together for the power of a wish.

Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.

World Wish Day is about thanking those who heal, like Daniela Bauer-Sawicki, a child life specialist and music therapist. Daniela says, “Being able to tell them that they are eligible for a wish is a highlight of what I do.”

Learn more about World Wish Day and the doctors, social workers, donors, child-life specialists, volunteers, sponsors, wish kids and families who believe in the powerful, life-changing nature of a wish at http://wish.org/worldwishday.

The worldwide “Thank You” day will take place on April 29, in honor of the organization’s 36th anniversary. Individuals can show their support for those who make wishes come true by sharing a World Wish Day message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, with the hashtag #WorldWishDay.
